Projects

Rendezvous Events are those projects where volunteers and CF Project leaders come together on site, sharing a collective experience in the process of achieving the project objectives.

This will often include camping on site and sharing meals, with demonstrations and training sessions, evening presentations, guided trips to visit local buildings of interest, and inevitably a continual process of discussion, sharing knowledge and learning from each other.

Hosting a Rendezvous event creates a uniquely creative and rewarding environment for all those involved. Clients, volunteers, designers and carpenters alike will benefit from the enormous enthusiasm which grows out of a worthy project undertaken with collective care and involvement. Whatever the size of your project, we can put  together a team to design, manage and build, exactly to your requirements.

Some projects may require a focus on low-energy, hand-tool production, others may involve power tools and heavy plant. Many will involve camping on site, with catering provided for shared mealtimes and facilities for social gathering and presentations in the evenings. In all cases there will be teamwork and training to ensure that the maximum benefit is derived from the project for all those involved.

Our aim is that each project delivers the highest possible value to the local environment, to the people who will create the building and to those who will use it.
